How many treatments do I need?

Well, to be honest it depends on a lot of things. Once you come in for your initial intake and have received the first treatment it will be easier to gauge the number of treatments you will need to resolve your main complaint. Everyone is different and multiple factors come into play when determining prognosis. How long the complaint has been going on, age, diet, lifestyle, reaction to initial treatment and much more goes into determining how many visits a patient will need. If the problem is more chronic, typically it will take longer to resolve, but that is not set in stone. After three treatments you should see a significant shift in your body and you may notice little things are improving such as sleep, energy, digestion, improved emotions,  managing stress, changes in the quality and intensity of pain, etc.. Acupuncture builds on itself, so the more you come the better the results.
Once the complaint has stabilized you can stop coming in altogether or come in for “tuneups” biweekly, monthly or whatever works best for you. Acupuncture is a holistic approach to treating the body which means we treat the entire body and mind in the process, not just one area. Acupuncture also has the added benefit of strengthening your immune system and reducing stress. It allows you to become more in touch with your own body. With acupuncture treatments and diet and lifestyle recommendations we will get you feeling better than ever and help you significantly improve your quality of life for the long term.
